I am a renaissance woman, with a hand and heart in multiple creative endeavors. Early in my life I knew, and was supported by eccentric parents, that I could do anything I put my mind to. As a creative soul, I am forever exploring possibility. First and foremost, I am a multitalented artist with a hand in a kaleidoscope of mediums, from visual arts painting, drawing, mixed media, creative writing, photography, and graphic design to gardening, landscaping, and working on classic cars.
I have been a certified auto mechanic, a model, a nanny, a lot girl at Wilson Motors, a flagger and TCS (Traffic Control Supervisor), a heavy equipment operator, laborer, truck driver, snow plow operator, PM (Project Manager), wanna be race car driver (it’s still on my bucket list), landscape business owner, graphic design artist, student and now currently a Teaching Artist.
Auto mechanics at 17 years, in 1987. I was the only girl in my class and the only girl in all the trades that year at BTC. I was a model from 1984-86, got into Road Construction at 19 after an injury took me out of auto mechanics. Had a beautiful 30-year career in road construction. Went back to school for two AA degrees, one in Arts & Science, one as a Graphic Designer. Now currently in my 7th or 8th career as a graphic designer and teaching artist in BPS (Bellingham Public Schools). The sky is the limit.
I live and am inspired daily in Bellingham, WA, surrounded by nature, wildlife, and a plethora of creative endeavors. As an Artist, Creativity Connoisseur, Graphic Artist and Teaching Artist, I consider myself a creative explorer of possibility. After all,…. life is art.
